| MMI began its business in 1998 as a supplier of single crystal sapphire fibers. Since then, it has expanded its product lines to include fiber-optic temperature sensors as well as chemical sensors. Presently, its business is divided about evenly between manufacturing and R&D for the federal government through SBIR/STTR projects. Its customers range from major global corporations to start-up companies and research institutions. | |
